Features
- Two clicks to create the animation.
- One central place to control delay, duration and the distance the element travels.
- Still have full control over individual element’s position.
Installation
Copy and paste the script to this location:
macOS:
/Applications/Adobe After Effects (version)/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels
Windows:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects (version)\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels
How it works
- Open Window>Automated Stagger Animation - It should be at the bottom of the menu.

- Click on “Create the Controller” button.
- Select all the layers that you want to apply the stagger animation.
- Click on “Apply Animation” button. It will apply a fade-in animation on opacity and a position animation on X or Y.
- The default number is good for a generic stagger animation. You can tweak the below properties as needed.

Tips
- Y_Pos and X_Pos: The distance the element to travel. Positive number moves the element upward, negative number moves the element downward.
